Our Story

Founder Charles Devan and Patrick Devendran hail from Sabah, where one can easily find bountiful fresh seafood for both nutrition and enjoyment. But the situation is not the same in KL where there is a clear lack of affordable, quality seafood. The frustrated duo eventually looked to their homeland for supply but was disappointed, because industry ruling is such that only large quantity warrants affordability.

This led to the brothers’ discovery of quaint traditional smokehouses in Scotland. It was the first time they have tasted such succulent smoked salmon, purely and freshly cured by salt and sugar – and that’s when the idea of Poseidon was born.  

Together with childhood friend, Andy Hiew, Poseidon Caviar & Seafood Bar was established in Atlas Gourmet, Four Seasons KL to curate and create the best seafood dishes in Malaysia, with the motto of using only the freshest catch, without the need for excessive flavouring.

The continuous pursuit of fine goods birthed Teaology, which hosts presently the largest range of exquisite teas from all over the world. This tea bar is also strategically located in KL, at the Bens Grocer within The Linc.

Los Sombreros, a Latin American-themed cocktail bar, was birthed from a desire to craft good cocktails that wouldn’t burn a hole in your pocket. Perfect for post-work chillout or simply to have a fun evening alone or with company, you can say “hola” to Los Sombreros at Damansara Uptown, PJ.

But how can a hustler and a coffee lover not be part of a coffee joint? Refuel Coffee Bar was created for patrons of Citta Mall Common Ground coworking space to fuel up on caffeine, quality food and cakes for their daily hustle.

In addition to F&B offerings, Charles and Patrick are also part of the events management industry – and have so far organized luxurious experiences tailored to the likes of Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Leica and Huawei, among other established clients.
